Little Sigil Privacy Policy
littlesigil.com | Effective Date: [October 29, 2026] | Last Updated: [October 29, 2026]
No Promises of Results. Little Sigil makes no promise, guarantee, or claim of any particular result from using our products or reading our content. Our stickers and blog are organizational tools for personal use only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and we make no claims about the outcome or effectiveness of any doctor’s appointment, diagnosis, or medical determination.
Health-related information, including anything that may reveal a health condition, medication, or symptom, is also covered by our separate Consumer Health Data Policy. That policy is standalone and applies in addition to this one. If the two conflict about health information, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy controls.
Organizational tools only. All of Little Sigil’s health, wellness, and journaling stickers are organizational tools only. If you use them to track personal health metrics, we strongly encourage you to work with your healthcare team to decide whether what you record is noteworthy and what your provider is looking for in relation to your health. We encourage everyone to do their own research and to collaborate with their healthcare professionals. Misuse of our stickers is not our responsibility, and Little Sigil bears no liability for any use other than as an organizational tool.
General Privacy Practices
1. Who We Are
Little Sigil (“Little Sigil,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a small business operating littlesigil.com. We design and sell journaling and tracking stickers, including health and wellness stickers (medication shapes, symptom stickers, and general sensation stickers) that people use for personal record keeping and as a diary of lived experiences. We also publish a journal/blog. The blog is not a community or forum, and it does not host reader comments, accounts, or user-submitted posts. It shares organizational strategies that help people describe their lived experiences accurately, along with generally accessible information about the kinds of questions many health providers commonly ask when gathering health assessment information. Blog content is educational and organizational only. It is not medical advice, and it does not tell you what any particular provider will or should ask you.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle health-related information and applies in addition to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Orders: name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (if provided), and order contents.
- Payment information: processed by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Contact forms and emails: your name, email address, and anything you include in your message.
- Sticker idea suggestions: your name, email address, and the idea you submit (see Section 7 and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy).
- Newsletter or blog subscriptions (if offered): your email address.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring website, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies that keep your cart working, remember preferences, and help us understand how the site is used.
Information from third parties
- Our e-commerce platform, payment processor, shipping carriers, and analytics provider may give us order, delivery, and site usage information.
3. How We Use Information
- To process, ship, and support your orders.
- To respond to messages and requests.
- To run our sticker suggestion program and send reward codes.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To send order updates, and marketing emails only where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations and to prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for their services:
- E-commerce and website hosting platform: Ionos
- Payment processing: WooPayments/Stripe, GooglePay/Apple Pay
- Shipping and fulfillment carriers: USPS
- Email delivery provider: Gmail, Brevo
- Analytics provider: Google Analytics, WooCommerce Analytics
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business (in which case we will notify you and the acquirer must honor this policy).
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work (such as the shopping cart) and may use analytics cookies to understand site traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Our site does respond to “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals; if we detect a Global Privacy Control signal, we will treat it as an opt-out of non-essential tracking where required by law.
6. Data Retention and Security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, order and tax records, which we retain for 7 years). We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including access limits and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Sticker Idea Suggestions and Free Sticker Sheet Program
The Contact Us page lets you suggest health-related sticker ideas. The program works like this:
- Eligibility: If Little Sigil selects and produces your suggested sticker within 30 days of your suggestion, you are eligible for one free sticker sheet.
- First come, first served: If more than one person suggests the same or a substantially similar idea, the earliest submission (by timestamp) receives the reward. Little Sigil decides in good faith whether ideas are substantially similar.
- Notification: If your idea is produced and you qualify, we will email you a redemption code.
- Expiration: The code expires 7 days after the notification email is sent.
- Automatic deletion: Your suggestion information (name, email address, and idea) is automatically deleted 7 days after the notification email is sent, or when you redeem the code, whichever happens first. If your idea is not produced within 30 days, we delete your suggestion information within 3 days after the 30-day window ends.
- Redemption through checkout: To protect your privacy, we do not collect or store your mailing address through the suggestion form. You must redeem your code at checkout, where you enter your shipping details as for any order. Checkout information is handled as an ordinary order under Section 2 and is kept only as described in Section 6.
- Codes are single-use, non-transferable, and have no cash value.
Please do not include personal medical details in your suggestion. Describe the sticker idea in general terms (for example, “a sticker for a tingling sensation”) rather than describing your own diagnosis, medications, or history. If you do include health information, it will be handled under our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
8. Custom Orders, Uploaded Content, and Intellectual Property
When you place a custom sticker order, you may upload images, artwork, logos, photos, or text, or describe what you want. We collect this content and your order details only to review, produce, and deliver your order, to communicate with you about it, and to handle reprints, returns, and disputes. We keep custom order files for up to 365 days after delivery, or longer if needed to resolve a dispute or meet a legal requirement, then delete them. Please do not upload health information, other people’s personal information, or images of other people unless you have the right to do so. If your custom order includes health information, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy also applies.
You are responsible for your content. You are solely responsible for confirming that you own, or have permission or a valid license to use, every image, logo, character, trademark, and piece of text you submit, and that printing it on stickers does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or other rights. By placing a custom order, you confirm that you have those rights and permissions.
No liability for your content. Little Sigil does not independently verify the ownership or licensing of custom artwork or text, and bears no liability for producing trademarked or copyrighted images or text at your request. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for, and to defend and hold Little Sigil harmless from, any claims, damages, or costs that arise from content you submit.
Proof of permission. If the license or ownership of an image or text is questionable or unknown, we may ask you for proof of permission, such as a license, written consent, or proof of ownership, before we produce the order. We use what you send only to verify permission and delete it when it is no longer needed for that purpose or any related dispute. We may delay or decline production until we receive proof we find satisfactory.
Right to refuse. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or stop any custom order at any time and for any reason, including content we consider offensive, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise not aligned with Little Sigil’s ethics and business model. We will notify you by email if we refuse or cancel your order. If we refuse or cancel an order before production, we will refund your payment in full.
9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sales, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email info.little.sigil@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Rights relating to consumer health data are described in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
10. Children
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. Anyone under 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission before placing an order or submitting information to us.
11. Links to Other Sites
Our blog and site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date. For changes to our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, we will also obtain any additional consent required by law before applying the change to health data we have already collected.
